Using Kharcho

Kharcho is a shared expense tracking app. You are responsible for the information you enter, including expenses, payments, receipts, messages, profile details, and group invitations. You agree to use Kharcho only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not harm the app, other users, or third-party services.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that happens through your account. You must provide accurate account information and keep access credentials confidential.

Group Content

Group expenses, settlements, messages, and uploaded files may be visible to other members of the relevant group. Please do not upload content that you do not have the right to share. Group records may remain available to group members as part of the shared ledger.

Payments and Settlements

Kharcho helps calculate and record shared expenses and suggested settlements. Kharcho does not process bank transfers, UPI payments, card payments, or other financial transactions. Users are responsible for verifying balances and completing payments outside the app.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post harassment, threats, bullying, hate speech, or discrimination.
• Post sexual exploitation or abuse, sexual content, or content that endangers children.
• Post illegal material, instructions for violent harm, scams, or fraudulent claims.
• Share another person's private information, intimate images, or financial details without permission.
• Use Kharcho for illegal, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity.
• Attempt to access accounts, groups, data, systems, or networks without authorization.
• Upload malware, spam, misleading content, or content that infringes another person's rights.
• Interfere with or disrupt Kharcho or its service providers.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse Kharcho except where allowed by law.

Reporting, Blocking, and Review

Use Report in a message, expense, payment, group, or person menu to flag content. Shared tracker entries and people can also be reported. Select a reason and optionally explain the issue. The relevant text or image and your report details are sent privately to an authorized Lionster reviewer; other members cannot see the report queue.

Use Block in the message or person menu to hide chat messages and reactions between you and that person and stop invitations between you. Existing shared expenses, payments, memberships, and balances stay visible so you can settle accounts. Manage your block list in Profile > Privacy and safety.

Lionster reviews reports and may remove reported text or images, pause an account's posting, or dismiss a report. Financial amounts and participant records are preserved. Removed content may be retained privately for review and appeal. To follow up, report an urgent issue, or appeal a decision, contact help@lionster.online. Include the relevant group or tracker and content details; never send your password.

Third-Party Services

Kharcho relies on third-party services for hosting, authentication, storage, notifications, crash reporting, email, and other infrastructure. Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms and policies.

Availability and Changes

Kharcho may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We aim to keep the app reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Disclaimer

Kharcho is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of calculations or content.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kharcho and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, payment disputes, or losses arising from your use of the app.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Kharcho if we believe you violated these terms, created risk for other users, or used the app in a way that could harm Kharcho or its service providers.

You can delete your account in the app. Shared transaction amounts remain for other members' balances under an anonymous identifier, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. You will be asked to accept a new version before creating or uploading content.
